JAPAN'S AIMS
PEACE IN EAST ASIA REORGANISATION PLANNED NEW CHINESE GOVERNMENT (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegrahp—Copyright) TOKIO, Oct. 15. (Received Oct. 16, at 8 p.m.) The Prime Minister, General Abe, in an interview, said that Japan was determined to create a new Chinese central Government able fully to share in the reorganisation of East Asia, which China and Japan must accomplish without assistance from outsiders. He added that reorganisation could be accomplished and the neutrality and the rights of third Powers would be respected. An effort would be made to convince the world of the sincerity of Japan's aims, which are the preservation of peace in East Asia, the establishment of prosperity, and the cooperation of all nations for the international stability. The War Office derides the Chinese claims of victories in central China, and claims that the Japanese have taken all the fortified positions in the Chinese ninth zone, including mountains south of Kiukiang, between the Hupeh and Kiangsi provinces.
