ST. CLAIR SCHOOL

MEETING OF COMMITTEE The monthly meeting of the St. Clair School Committee was held last Wednesday, Mr M. A. Robson occupying the chair. The headmaster's report was presented by Mr H. Colquhoun, showing that the attendances for the month had been well maintained. A framed photograph of .the Royal Family and a copy of the King's message to the children of the Empire had been received from the Education Board. The swimming classes for the Fourth Standard girls had been held during the month, several of the girls having gained their certificates for 880 yards. The children were busily training for the primary schools sports' and were looking forward eagerly to the annual contest. The Visiting Committee reported that the school and the grounds were in good order, and that the gardens were beginning to look gay with spring flowers.
