TRAIN DERAILMENT

THE WAIHOLA ACCIDENT LINE AGAIN CLEAR INQUIRY TO BE HELD The main south line was again clear for traffic on Saturday, repairs having been effected to the portion of the track which was damaged by the derailment which occurred on Thursday night between Clarendon and Waihola. Trains can use the line only at reduced speeds, however, and the Invercargill-Lyttelton express was 12 minutes late in reaching Dunedin on Saturday. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and it is to be the subject of the usual departmental inquiry.
