In the 10 weeks which have elapsed since Chamberlain Park, Auckland, was opened as a municipal golf course. 8223 persons have played over it and revenue has amounted to £IOO4 4s 6d, said Mr J. L, Coakley in a report to the Auckland City Council last week. He stated that further improvements, including shelters, were in hand, and fairways and greens were in perfect order. A recent English visitor, who said she had played on most municipal courses throughout the Empire, had stated that Chamberlain Park was the best she had seen.
