TERRITORIAL ASSOCIATION

‘ TAIERI BRANCH ' A meeting of the Taietf branch of the Territorial Association Held in Mosgiel was attended by Messrs W. P. Hartstonge (chairman), F. Cheyne, J. B. Hey, W. A. Gillon, C. Cole and F. Thurlow. Lieutenant Cole reported that since the last meeting 17 recruits had been attested and passed the medical examination, while five others had advised that they would Join the platoon, The chairman reported that a suitable training ground had been obtained and steps were being taken to arrange for a hall for lectures, and also a room to store equipment. The membership fee was fixed at a minimum of 5s and it was decided to canvass for members. Various other matters were considered and left to the chairman or Lieutenant Cole to arrange. It was decided to continue the canvass for further recruits who would be required even after the full 'strength of the platoon had been obtained.
