SUNDAY SERVICES
The Rev. J. E. Penman will conduct his last services in Knox Church tomorrow. His evening subject will be, “The Traffic of the Temple,” At First Church to-morrow, the Rev. W. Allen Stevely will conduct both services. In the morning his subject will be, “Tongues in Trees,” and in the evening, “Treasures of Darkness.” The music in the morning will include the solo, “A Prayer,” and in the evening the solo, “Bless Thou the Lord," and the anthem, “Joy Dawned Again." Dr Galway will be at the organ. Members of the Metropolitan Masonic Lodges"" will attend the evening services. ./
At St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church the preacher will be the Rev. Thomas Miller. His subject in the morning service will be “A Springtime Psalm; Thou Waterest the Earth,” and "The Way of a Righteous Peace ” his subject in the evening. The Rev. J. Ewen Simpson will conduct the services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church, speaking in the morning on “ Faith—Before and After Trial.” The evening service will be a visitors’ service, the subject being “The Onlv Alternatives,” The anthem will be, “ The Long Day Closes,” and the hymn,study, “The Pilot Song.” After the service an at home will be held in the church hall. „ . , - At the Theosophical Society there will be an address by Mr J. M. McEwan, his subject being " Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” which is an occult play based on fundamental laws. At the Spiritualist Church, St. Andrew street, to-morrow evening, Dr Moorey, the Australian psychic, will speak on “Reincarnation: Have Ws Lived Before?” After the address there will be demonstrations of spiritual clairvoyance. The Healing Centre will meet on Monday evening in the Premier Buildings, where there will be a psychometry meeting on Wednesday evening and where Dr Moorey may be insulted during the week. The annual band festival will be held In the Salvation Army Citadel, Dowling street, this week-end. Bandmaster N. Coffin, of Christchurch, will be present, and will render a number of solos at the different meetings. Special musical programmes will be given tomorrow at 3 p.m. and on Monday at At the Greater World Spiritual Mission the service will be conducted by the Rev. Gertrude Brooks, the subject being “ Voices from Spirits—What Do They Say? ” On Wednesday at 8 p.m. psychometry and numberology meetings will be held. , , . Divine worship will be conducted at the Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow by the Rev. Basil Metson, whose subjects will be . A Cosy Nest Destroyed” and “To Live l s _What? ” In the evening the choir will sing the anthem “ Lead, Kindly Light,” and Mrs B. Metson will sing a S °At the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church the services will be conducted by the Rev. A. C. W. Standage, the subjects being “Our Freedom” and “The Salt of the Earth.” “Fear Not” will be the Rev. C. G. Hedley Bycroft’s morning subject at the United Congregational Church; Albany street, to-morrow. In the evening he will speak on Where Is Now My God? ” Mrs L. J. Smith will be the soloist. . . . . . The Rev, W. R. Francis will conduct 'the morning service of the Methodist Central Mission In the church parlour. The service in the evening will bp held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, when the subject will be “A Coming Armageddon.” Miss Dons Wilson will be the soloist. . At the Congregational Church, Moray place, to-morrow, the Rev. John H. Harris will conduct both morning and evening services. In the morning Mr Rowland Dunbar will sing “ How Many Hired Servants,” and in the evening the anthem "God that Madest Earth arid Heaven” and the solo "Lord God of Abraham” will be rendered.
