The junior selector (Mr C. E. Hubbard) has chosen the following team to represent Otago against Canterbury in a representative hockey match at Dunedin on Saturday:— Goal.-r-J. Campbell (Albany). Backs.—Chirnside (T.C.0.8.). Laing (High School). Halves.—A. Wright (H. 5.0.8., captain); S. Ritchie (H 5.0.8.), Richardson (T.C.0.8.). Forwards. Henderson (H. 5.0.8.), Campbell (T.C.0.8.). Osborne (H. 5.0.8.), Wedlake (T.C.0.8.). Siemint (Albany, vice-captain) Emergencies.—Backs: Cuthbert (Albany), Lawry (Wesley). Forwards: Swift (H. 5.0.8.), Lees (Y.M.C.A.). WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION, MEETING oFeXECUTIVE Mrs C. Sonntag presided at the weekly meeting of the executive of the Women's Hockey Association, also present being Misses R. Morton, R. Warburton, A. Marshall, and Mr Wallace. !. General A letter was received from the headmaster, Macandrew Road School, thanking the association for the donation of a book on hockey. The results of the umpires' theory examinations were received, there being t\»o A passes and five B passes. It was decided to play a representative game against Central Otago at Alexandra on, September 16. and arrangements were also put in hand for a C Grade representative game. Community Sing Final arrangements were made for the combined community sing in the Town Hall to-night. All captains are requested to see that their players turn out in uniform. Players are also reminded of the jumble sale on September 1. and are asked to get as many donations as possible. These are to be left at 29 Stafford street. Saturday's Matches The following are the arrangements for the representative matches on Saturday next:— A2 and B2 teams will play North Otago and will leave by bus from the railway bus depot. Stafford street, at 11.30 a.m. The Al and Bl teams, which will play South Otago, will leave the depot at 1.15 p.m., and all players are asked to contribute towards expenses, the association to pay the balance. All teams will play in navy gym. frocks and white blouses, arrangements being made to obtain other distinctive accessories. The teams will return immediately after the games. Boocock): Carlton v. Momona (friendly game), at Oval No. 3 at 2.45 p.m. (Mr G. A, Paterson). Trial game to follow; Training College girls available are requested to attend. Training College has defaulted to Momona.
