PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND NEW YORK, Aug. 21. (Received Aug. 22, at 7.30 p.m.) Interest has been aroused by the announcement that Budge, Vines, Tilden and Stoefen will visit Australia and New Zealand. They will reach Perth from South Africa on September 1, and stay six weeks, playing two day matches in the capitals. They will spend a fortnight in New Zealand. Sir Norman Brookes told the Australian Associated Press that the visit would not affect the tour of American amateurs for which he was negotiating. He added that the United States Lawn Tennis Association viewed the proposal favourably. The personnel of the team would be decided after the national singles. He said the amateurs would compete at the Australian championships, adding that the Australian tennis public in any event was large enough to support the two tours.
