COMMUNITY SING

FRIDAY'S FIXTURE A special Scots day is being arranged for the community sing at the Strand Theatre on Friday, when the leaders—Messrs H. P. Desmoulins. J. F. Himburg. A. Pettitt. and H. Marsden—will be dressed as Scotsmen. A programme is being arranged which will include Scottish and Dopular numbers. Making their first appearance will be the Opoho Ladies' Choir, which is reported to consist of picked voices. " Cheerios" have not been stopped, and Mr J. F. Himburg. secretary, would be pleased to receive them by Thursday. Mrs Mclntyre. who has charge of the stall, would be grateful for flowers or goods. The proceeds are for the Mayor's Relief of Distress Fund.
