TO THE EDITOR Sir,—The writer, in common wiUi hundreds of others, promised himself a treat in listening to the broadcast of the Otago-Southland shield game oh' Saturday/ but was horribly disappointed, not H so far as' the result was concerned—very few if arjy would begrudge Southland its win—but I take exception to the style of announcing, for it was crude in the extreme. . I would suggest to the Southland Union when next broadcastin* a t shield- jjame , to' bring Mr from Dunedm—for then we will he sure of a good, clear doScription of the game and cair follow It with interest—l am. etc..
