Tuesday, August 8 (Before Mr H. W. Bundle. S.M.) Undefended Cases Judgment for the plaintiffs by default was given in the following undefended cases:—John Edmond. Ltd.. v. Arthur B. Woolfe. claim £1 3s. the balance due for goods supplied, with costs (13s 6d): McDonald and King v. Myrtle Ghaney. claim £2 13s. fdr goods supplied and cash paid, with costs (£1 Is 6d). Claims for Possession Isabella Dickson proceeded against J. R. Andrews claiming possession of a property of which Andrews was owner but on which two mortgages had been taken out, one. originally oi £IOO. by the plaintiff. Mr R. A. King, who appeared on behalf of the plaintiff, stated that the defendant had fallen behind in his payments and had vacated the property, which had been let. In April. 1938, the defendant had asked to be allowed to take possession once more, and this had been allowed on condition that he paid 15s 4 week. He was now £2B 10s in arrears.—An order was made for possession on or before August 29. the magistrate pointing out that the defendant could arrange to pay so much a week to remain in the house if he had been unable to find another place by that date. Sydney Charles Jago claimed possession of the house owned by him and occupied bv Mary Muir Drew. Mr R. A. King appeared for the plaintiff and Mr A. J. Haub. of the Labour Department, for the defendant. —In evidence, the'plaintiff stated that he required the house for his own use. as not only would it provide the necessary space for his family, but woulr 1 also be more convenient for him going to work and nearer to a school for his children.— Mary Muir Drew, a married woman, the present tenant, stated that she looked after an invalid sister and two old age pensioners. She admitted to Mr Kins however, that they could enter the Talboys Home.—An order was made for the payment of £lO arrears in rent, with costs (£1 17s 6d) and for possession of the house by the plaintiff on or before August 29.
