"It would be a wise precaution if the traffic control authorities could insist on a compulsory stop for motorists coming out of Exmouth street," said the engineer-manager, Mr A. E. Ford, in a report to the Auckland Transport Board recently dealing with dangers to traffic turning into Eden terrace. The report added that there was little the Transport Board could do to make the intersection safer. The real risk lay with motorists colliding with each other. There was no record of serious accidents with trams. Mr J. Sayegh, who had requested the report, said he agreed with the manager, although there wa6 no doubt the intersection was dangerous. In his opinion, the corner should be widened to give better visibility. He intended bringing up the matter at a meeting of another body*
