DR BENES IN LONDON CAUSTIC GERMAN COMMENT LONDON, July 18. The Berlin correspondent of The Times says: “ A German news agency communication states that Dr Benes, former President of one of the political States formed to perpetuate the Versailles Treaty, has returned from his tour of agitation in the United States in order to settle in London, the rendezvous of many similar broken existences.” UNION WITH GERMANY ADVANTAGES TO CZECHS PRAGUE, July 18. M. Havelka, Acting Prime Minister, appealed to Czechs not to nourish false hopes and listen to those who declared that war would restore Czechoslovakia. He strewed the advantages of the present union with Germany.
