VICTIM’S CONDITION IMPROVED HUSBAND REMANDED FOR THREE WEEKS ‘Per United Press Association) DARGAVILLE, July 12. There is a slight improvement in the condition of Beryl Hazel Winters, of Te Kopurti, married, aged 41. who was admitted to the Northern Wairoa Hospital yesterday with serious injuries to her head, indicted as the result of an assault at her home yesterday morning. The injuries are alleged to have been indicted with an axe, which has since been recovered by the police The victim is the mother of dve children, whose ages range from six years to 15 years. The husband, Harold Heawa Winters, aged 52, who was arrested shortly aftei the incident on a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court this morning and was remanded to appear here on August 2
