SHORT-TERM COMMISSIONS DOMINION CANDIDATES FOR ENGLAND (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, July 12. The final selection of Now Zealand candidates for the Royal Air Force who will go to England direct was announced to-day bv the Minister of Defence (Mr F Jones). The following have been selected for short-service commissions in the Royal Air Force:—A. E, Berry (Christchurch). R. H Crush (Gisborne). D. G. Dickie (Wellington), F. K. Gill (Auckland). R. J. Hannan (Christchurch), C. R. Hazlewood (Christchurch). H. H. J. Miller (Hamilton), P. J. Oliver (Auckland), I. S Smith (Auckland). N. A. Svenson (Christchurch). C, F. Tibbetts (Auckland) and G. S. Williams (Gisborne) The Minister said that the successful candidates would leave for England on July 27 In future all the preliminary training of candidates will be given in New Zealand Of the final selection seven are airmen of the Royal New Zealand Air Force
