ALLEGED OPPRESSION
COMPANIES IN SAKHALIN JAPANESE LODGE PROTEST TOKIO, July 11. Japan is protesting to Moscow against alleged oppression of oil and coal companies in North Sakhalin, which the Russian law court fined large sums, in default confiscation of their property, owing to their failure to supply workers with necessary goods, the transport of which the Japanese allege the Soviet hampered.
