SHANGHAI LASHED SIX CHINESE KILLED THE STREETS FLOODED (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SHANGHAI, July 12. (Received July 13, at 1 a.m.) Six Chinese were killed and scores injured by a typhoon which rooted up trees, lifted pedestrians off their feet, and put wireless stations out of action.' The streets were flooded and littered with debris. The business quarter is deserted.
The Tian Maru is aground on Saddle Island, and has appealed tor assistance. The British vessel Isabel Moller is standing by. A number of ships are reported to be in distress.
