FORESTERS

The fortnightly meeting of Court Woodlands Pride was held in the courtroom on Monday last. All officers were present, and Sis. A Rush occupied the chair. The woodwards’ report of sick members was received, and the secretary intimated that, it was the smallest sick list since he had been in Court Woodlands Pride. Delegates were requested to attend the final meeting of the 1939 Ball Committee on July 20 at 7.30 p.m, in the district office. Invitations were received from the following:—Court Littlejohn, to a dance on Tuesday next at 8 p.m.; Court St. Andrew’s, for a team of four players for a 500 tournament on July 24 at 8 p.m.. also four players for a badminton tournament on August 7 at 8 p.m.; Court Marion, to a social and dance on July 25 at 7.45 p.m.; Court Pride of Dunedin, to its seventyseventh anniversary dance and waltzing competition; and a double complimentary ticket was received from Court Bruce for its annual ball on August 3. The secretary was instructed to write Court St. Andrew’s stating that, owing to previous arrangements, no sisters would be attending the functioh on July 24. The annual church service will be held at First Church on Sunday. August 6, members to muster at Anzac square at 6 p.m. Congratulations were received from Sis M Watt, of Wellington, on the court attaining the forty-fifth anniversary Official visits were received from two n,embers of the District Executive and nine courts. The chief ranger and oub-chlef ranger welcomed the visitors to which Bro. Neilson. of Court Robin Hood, responded The evening was spent in dancing to music supplied by sis. Cullen D_uring the evening an opportunity was taken to make a presentation to Sis. Clayton for services freely given during the past year.
