ITALY AND SPAIN
RELATIONS TO BE DISCUSSED COUNT CIANO VISITS MADRID ROME, July 9. Count Ciano left for Spain aboard a cruiser to discuss economic, political and military relations. He will meet General Franco on July 12. Count Ciano said the visit was a confirmation of ItalianSpanish solidarity and sentiments exemplified by the war. Italy wanted a strong and united Spain. The latter knew that she could always depend on Italy's support.
