FORTHCOMING REPERTORY PLAY

FROCKING IS SOPHISTICATED The frocking of the Repertory’ Society’s coming production,"Children, to Bless You!'” will be one of its most outstanding features. The play is a sophisticated modern comedy in which the female element predominates, and many striking frocks have been selected for the ladies in the cast by Miss Mercia Hardman.- wardrobe mistress. There are six scenes in the play, with changes of frocks in every scene, and so this production should have a special appeal for the feminine section of the community. ~ , , In act one, scene one, Mrs John McPherson as Clare (Mrs Lawrence) wears a smart cinnamon suit and_ hat. striped cravat and brown accessories—her daughter Tonie (Miss Trixie Wood) a striking navy wool suit, navy hat and scarlet bag. and her other daughter Audrey (Miss Lydia Henderson) an attractive blue lumper suit Miss Joyce Clarke as Jennifer will be seen in a beautiful white evening gown with ostrich feather bolero, and Ailsa Skinner as Miss Drake in a business like fawn swing coat burgundy hat and black accessories. In act 1. scene J, Clare wears a smart black negligee and Audrey an attractive nile green evening gown. ■ Act'2, scene 1, opens with Clare in a cinnamon skirt with smart striped jersey to tone: Tonie in an engaging

brown house frock and Audrey in a very chic teal blue ensemble. Act 2, scene 2, presents Clare in an attractive midnight blue afternoon frock, Audrey in a smart blue skirt and lemon jersey, and Tonie in an arresting gold and green sequin tunic. In this act Stella (Miss Anita Winkel) makes her first appearance wearing a striking black

frock and hat with furs, while Louise, her maid (Miss Edith Clare) wears a suitable travelling coat and hat in bottle green. The bejewelled black frock worn by Clare and the navy figured georgette frock and squirrel coat in which Tonie appears are but two of a variety of interesting creations donned for the final act. •
