ITALIAN AIRMEN
PART IN SPANISH WAR THOUSANDS PARTICIPATE ROME, June 10. (Received June 11, at 6.30 p.m.) It has been officially announced that 5699 Italian airmen participated in the Spanish war and carried out 5318 bombardments, 172 Italians being killed and 192 wounded. The Italians lost 86 machines. They claim they brought down 903 enemy planes in 266 air fights and hit 224 ships.
