Evidence that the plans for resumption of the Pan-American Airways service from San Francisco to New Zealand are nearing fruition is supplied by the arrhal in the Monterey to-day of three officialsMessrs Don Walker. A. J Swesey. and H. L. Walsh. Mr Walker, who is accompanied by his wife ind daughter, has been appointed airport manager at Auckland and flight relief officer for PanAmerican operations south of Canton Island Mr Swesey will be chief mechanic at Auckland, and Mr Walsh communications department agent in charge of the wireless station Mr Walker was formerly airport manager at Wake and I»"idway Islands, and Treasure Island San Francisco
