MACANDREW BAY ORPHANS

SCOTTISH NIGHT The tartans displayed at the Scottisn Night, celebrated by the Macandrew Bay Orphans' Club on Wednesday evening, were many and varied. There was a good attendance, and the night was spent in the true Scottish spirit in song story and music. A feature was the piping in. and the address to. the haggis. Piper Ivan Fraser and Mr A Macfarlane carried out these duties according to tradition Musical items were contributed as follows:—Cornet and saxophone duet. Messrs J- Morns and A. Bell; Highland dance and Scottish songs, Mr Turnbull: trumpet solo Bro. J. W Sainsbury; songs. Bro. W. L. McEvoy; and Bro. C. Oldham and Bro. L. Tyrie played the accompaniments. During the evening six new members were initiated.
