ENTRY TO CUBA REFUSED NOT SUFFICIENT FUNDS HAVANA, June 7. (Received June 8, at 0.15 a.m.) The inability of the Jewish refugees to meet the Government’s demand for the payment of 500 dollars for each person resulted in the cancellation by the president of the prooosal for a temporary asylum at the Isle of Pines. Representatives or the refugees were able to muster 240,000 dollars, but the Government would not allow time to raise the difference. Two other vessels carrying 252 Jewish refugees were also refused entry to Cuban waters.
