THE CITIZENS' ASSOCIATION
TO THE EDITOR Sir,—ln a statement to the press Mr Wood, president of the Citizens' Association, explains the aims and objects of this institution. He also claims a membership of over 4000. Would Mr Wood kindly answer the following questions? (1) Is he referring to the membership at the time of the last municipal elections, or are his figures to be taken as the present number of financial members? (2) When, and where, was the annual meeting hold' (3) Were members of the association notified in the press, or otherwise, of that meeting? (4) How many were present at the annual meeting when the present executive was appointed? I ask these questions because I myself paid my subscription and joined the association at the time of the last municipal elections, and since then have not received even as much as; an official notification of my membership, except that given me by the canvasser. ■—l am\ etc., A. M. Kinmont. Dunedin, May 16.
