Herr Stranz, whose father was Baron Otto von Stranz. of Germany, js a. British-born subject. He recently acquired premises in Jedburgh to start a laundry. ' The bride and bridegroom appeared. with two witnesses in the 'office of Mr E. Kirkpatrick. a Jedburgh, solicitor, and made a declaration of marriage according to the Scottish- custom. Herr Stranz had qualified by the necessary 21 days' residence in Scotland. Later the Honorary Sheriff-Substitute Anderson granted a petition to have the marriage certified and registered.
