OPEN SNOOKER TOURNAMENT in the first round of the open snooker tournament played at the Returned Soldiers’ Atssociation rooms last night, keen play was witnessed. The results were as follows:—Ryan beat Hayden 2—o, Mason beat Bowie 2—l, Oliver beat Trevathan 2—o, Jenkins beat Rudduck 2—o. Tonight’s games are as follows: —Hill v. Bringans at 7.30, Stewart v. Pearce at 8.30 (both at Olympia); Weaver v. Rayner at 7.30, Proctor v. Lawson at 8.30 (at R.S.A.).
