SOUTHERN RHODESIA CONSCRIPTION IF NECESSARY SALISBURY, May 10. The Defence Mipister, Mr A. Redgold, speaking in the Assembly, said the Government was organising Southern Rhodesia’s man power by means of a national register. Conscription would be introduced without hesitation if necessary. The Government also intended to tax profits and prevent profiteering.
