FISHER v. PARRIS A programme containing four potential New Zealand champions is the ambitious bill to be staged by the Otago Boxing Association next Monday night. Norman Fisher, of Christchurch. needs no introducing to Dunedin “fans,” and his brilliant display against Norman Jenkin will be long remembered. Parris, of Wellington, is an aggressive fighter. His amateur record was outstanding, while his showing in professional ranks has been no less impressive. Handley is a newcomer from Melbourne. He is considered in Australia to be a brilliant boxer, with a terrific punch in either hand. His professional record stands as 23 contests, 21 wins, 18 of them by knock-outs. Greaney, his opponent, is well known in the local ring, and will fight shortly for the New Zealand feather-weight title, Parr will meet a hard opponent in the clever feather-weight, W. Brown, of Invercar ill. Brown recently met and defeated C. Rayner, of Blenheim. A good bout between Drew and Salmon is expected, and excellent amateur contests have been arranged. The box plan is now open, and is filling v apidly.
