CHRISTCHURCH SOUTH SEAT POLLING ON JUNE S The announcement that the byelection for the Christchurch South seat, following the death of Mr Howard, would take place on Saturday, June 3, was made this evening by the Prime Minister (Mr Savage). The writ will be issued on Monday, May 15, and the roll will close at 6 p.m. on that day. The latest day for the nomination of candidates will be Monday, May 22.
