VERGER SHOCKED

YOUNG PEOPLE’S PARTY KISSING GAMES NOW BANNED The game “Postman’s Knock" will be taboo at any future party held by the youth organisations of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church. Glasgow, states the News of the World. At a special meeting of the vestry, presided over by the minister, it was decided unanimously to ban all kissing games in future, and to disband the Young People’s Guild immediately. The reason given was that at a recent function held by the guild in the church hall the verger was shocked to find a young couple kissing and hugging in a dark corner. All lights in the hall had been extinguished during one game. The matter was reported to the vestry, and, as a result, the Young People’s Guild came to a sudden ending. The vestry’s decision was approved by the members of the church at their annual meeting later.
