DEFECTS IN TURBINES
AMERICAN DESTROYERS COMPLETION DELAYED WASHINGTON, Feb. 13. The completion of 18 of the navy’s newest destroyers has been delayed, due to the discovery of engineering defects in the turbines. The contractor, instead of the Government, is bearing the cost, but it means many months’ delay.
