Court St. Andrew’s held a meeting on Monday last, when C.R. Bro. R. Hughson presided over a good attendance of officers and members. The woodwards reported on sick brethren, and sick pay claims totalling £l4 were passed for payment. Several invitations from other courts were received and accepted. M.C. Bro. C. H. McKeich reported on the arrangements for the juvenile picnic. S.W. Bro. F. McKay and Bro. J. H. Hofland were elected delegates to the Ball Committee meeting. C.R. Bro. R. Hughson and C.S. Bro. C. E. Baines were elected to represent the court at Court King Edward’s Pride evening. Arrangements were well in hand for the sixty-fourth anniversary social, and at the meeting the presentation of the James Macfie Memorial Scholarship prize, won by a member of the court, will be made P.C.R. Bros, Wood and Wilson attended the court to judge the ritual for the shield, and were welcomed by the C.R. The judges congratulated the officers on their improvement during the last six months. After the court the men played a table tennis Singles tournament, the following being the result;—First round: H. Baines defeated R. Hughson, J Holland defeated A. Kempthorne. E. Brixton defeated C. H, McKeich. F McKay defeated E Baines, D. McKay defeated V Campbell, I. McLeod a bye. Second round: I McLeod defeated D. McKay. H Baines defeated J. Holland, E. Brixton defeated F. McKay. Final: I. McLeod defeated H. Baines.
