The popularity of the Town Hall dance was demonstrated last Saturday night when the attendance again exceeded 900. The music next Saturday will be supplied by Alex. Swann’s band of seven players, with the radio vocalist, Mr James MacFarlane, at the microphone. Patrons are reminded of the opening of the Town Hall dance “ dancing school ” on Monday, when from 7 to J p.m., a learners’ session will be given. From 9 to 11 there will be a dance, with Mr Alex Swann’s band supplying the music, and Mr James MacFarlane. Novelties, paper hats and masks of all descriptions will be distributed. The principals of the dancing school will be Mr Jack Robinson and Miss Betty Anderson. Further particulars are advertised.
