RANGITANE’S DEPARTURE POSTPONED The Rangltane’s departure from Wellington for London, via Panama, has been postponed Until 5 p.m. on January 16, NEW CARGO VESSEL Tiro Union Steam Ship Company’s new cargo vessel Komnta sailed from Immlngham last Tuesday afternoon for Auckland and Lyttelton. via the Panama canal. She Is due at Auckland about February 25. The Komata Is a single-screw steamer of 3850 lons gross, designed for a service speed of 12 knots. She Is of the Arcform type, and her cargo gear has been designed for rapid loading and discharging. the three cargo hatches, two forward and one aft of the machinery space, being served hv 12 steam winches and steel derricks. The vessel was launched in October last by Mlaj Barbara Grange, daughter of Mr G. R. Grange, a director of Alexander Stephen and Sons, the builders. Captain W. A, Gray Is In command for the voyage out. Mr A. Macdonald Is chief •ngineer, and Mr A. Knight is chief offloar. FOUR NEW BLUE STAR LINERS The first of the four passenger and cargo motor ships ordered by the Blue Star Line, Ltd., from Burmolster and Wain, Copenhagen, was due for delivery last month.
