TWO ROSEMARY REES
(From Our Own Correspondent) (By Air Mail) LONDON, Dec. 15. The fact that there are two people living in London named Rosemary Rees has once more come into the limelight of the press. One, of course, is the well-known New Zealand novelist, who, at the moment, is engaged on a new book. The other is a keen aviator and sister of Sir Richard Rees, Bt. Sir John Rees, M.P., was a keen traveller who spent half his life in India and made extensive journeys in Central Asia and the Far East. His children. Miss Rosemary Rees and Sir Richard Rees, are displaying a similar taste for adventure in foreign countries. The latter has flown her own airplane all over Europe, and next week she is flying it, laden with provisions. to Czechoslovakia as a “ Father Christmas” airplane for the refugee camps. Sir Richard, an ex-honorary attache in the Diplomatic Service and former editor of the Adelphi, is an Old Etonian who differs from the political orthodoxy of his family in a firm adherence to the Left. He has been for some time in Government Spain driving ambulances and distributing provisions on behalf of the English Quakers. In the past there has been confusion frequently in the case of telephone calls, bul when both the Rosemary Rees happened to have the same address in the same house in a London square there was still more aggravated confusion of correspondence. In due course, the two Rosemarys met. lunched together, and were photographed together.
Chopped suet is useful instead of eggs in milk puddings. Sprinkle a little on top, and the pudding will be rich and creamy.
