GERMAN MANUFACTURES. SUBSIDY ON EXPORTS LONDON, Jan. 11. British wool manufacturers are apprehensive following the Berlin Chamber of Commerce’s announcement of the renewal of the subsidy on exports of articles in which 100 per cent, of wool is used. Officials of British textile organi* sations point out that Germany has been buying from Bradford raw wool for army uniforms and mixing it with synthetics, paying for it by exports of wool clothing. The subsidy enables Germany to sell garments on which she paid only production costs.
