SEVEN FOR GREEN ISLAND LARGE LAND PURCHASES IN AUCKLAND <Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 12. Final arrangements have been made for the purchase of land sufficient for 16 house units in Petone, for three in Lower Hutt and five in Wanganui. This announcement was made by the Parliamentary Under-secretary to the Minister of Housing (Mr J. A. Lee) today. Land for the units specified has been purchased in other parts of the Dominion as follows: — Auckland. —Ten at Mount Albert. 37 and 11 garages at Mount Eden, 5 at Mount Roskill. 26 at One Tree Hill, 58 at Rsmuera, 43 at Point Chevalier, 5 at St. Heliers, 6 at Takapuna, 41 at Westmere, 9 at Avondale, 6 at Ellerslie. Christchurch.—Three at Sumner, Methven.—Four. Green Island. —Seven.
