Imported Ram Mr R. S. Thompson, Wetherstones, who for the past three years has been importing merino rams from the Arama stud, South Australia, recently received a ram of outstanding quality. Although it had not a full year’s growth of wool when shorn a few days ago, its fleece weighed 171 b. With the aid of these quality merino rams. Mr Thompson expects to increase the weight of, and improve the quality of. his clip. Rainfall During December rain fell on 24 days for a total of 5.87 iiiches, the heaviest fall being 1.89 on December 3. Personal The Rev. William Macdonald. Methodist minister at Nightcaps, and formerly of the Rae’s. Junction district, was a visitor to Lawrence last week.
