ESCAPE FROM CUSTODY
A PRISONER AT LARGE (Per United Press Association) GREYMOUTH. Jan. 12. Arrested on warrant on Monday for failure to pay a £5 fine, a prisoner escaped from Greymouth gaol at noon on Tuesday and has not been located, despite an intensive search. The prisoner, who was serving seven days, was given work in an outbuilding, and a quarter of an hour later was missing.
