CASKET SOLD FOR CHARITY A BIG SUM REALISED (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Jan. 10. (Received Jan. 11, at 6.30 p.m.) The sum of £1156 was bid in London to-day for a casket containing about 371 b of Empire-grown tea. The money will go to charity associated with the tea industry. The occasion was the celebration of the centennial of Empire tea. The Lord Mayor auctioned a sealed casket, which will not be opened until the next centennial. A much larger casket of Empire tea, inscribed with the royal arms, was sent to the palace for their Majesties.
