GOVERNMENT'S POLICY

APPEAL FOR SUPPORT ENDORSED BY SEAMEN'S UNION (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 11. The monthly ston-work meeting of the Federated Seamen's Union considered yesterday a letter from the Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) forwarded from the national office of the Federation of Labour, appealing to the whole trade union movement to assist the Government to implement its policy. The letter pointed out that the standard of living the people are enjoying could only be maintained by increasing production, and the whole-hearted cooperation of the workers was sought. The meeting unanimously pledged itself to support the appeal.
