IMPERIAL AIRWAYS

NORTH ATLANTIC SERVICE FLYING BOATS TO BE USED LONDON, Jan. 8. For the impending North Atlantic mail service Imperial Airways will employ four new multi-engined flying boats—the Cabot, the Caribou, the Connemara, and the Clyde. These are similar in design to the Caledonia and the Cambria, but are capable of carrying heavier loads, and are specially equipped for refuelling in the air. The other sea route to be opened to regular traffic by Imperial Airways in 1939 will be the crossing of the Tasman between Sydney and Auckland in an extension of the Australian service to New Zealand.
