TASMAN AIRLINERS

RADIO COMMUNICATION STATION ON NORFOLK ISLAND SYDNEY, Jan. 6. Mr H. V. Thorby, Minister for Aviation, said that he is despatching two officers of the Civil Aviation Department to Norfolk Island on January 7 to select a site for a radio station, which is to provide communication with the Tasman airliners, and also a site for emergency moorings. He was convinced that several months would elapse before the necessary radio and meterorological organisation could be completed.
