ORKNEY AND SHETLAND SOCIETY

MONTHLY SOCIAL The monthly social of the Orkney and Shetland Society was held on Saturday evening. The president iMr J. R. Leslie) was accompanied on the platform by Mr R. Daggers, the president of the St. Andrew Society. Mr Leslie referred to the friendly cooperation existing between the two societies, and also to the pleasure it gave him to welcome Mr and Mrs Daggers to the Orkney and Shetland Society. Mr Daggers replied suitably. The remainder of the eve'ning was spent in dancing, interspersed with the following items:—Messrs Bauchop and Tait. piano and banjo selections; Mrs Daggers, recitation. The winners of the movie waltz were Mr Dodds and Miss K. Stevenson. The accompanist was Mrs Neil Johnston, and Mr W. Sabiston acted as M.C. for the evening.
