REGULATION OF TRADE
APPLICATION FOR LICENCES EXPORT AND IMPORT PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 20. Detailed questions about the procedure to be followed in applying for export and import licences under the new regulations were put to officers of the Customs Department at a meeting convened by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. So great was the interest of the business community that the Chamber of Commerce Hall was unable to hold all those who wished to attend, and an adjournment was m&de to a larger building. The president of the Chamber (Mr P. E. Pattrick) introduced the departmental officers, Mr R. T. G. Patrick, who spoke on export licences, and Mr J. P, D. Johnsen, who dealt with import licences. Both officers answered numerous questions, and at the conclusion were accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
