THE ROSLYN SERVICE
ro the EDrroß Sir,—What is the object of putting buses on the Roslyn line? I understood it was to effect a saving for the Tramways Department, but how five buses that take the place of the two trams which ran at 8.25 and 8.33 can make any saving beats me. I suppose there were extra buses this morning as the weather really did look very doubtful, and a sudden shower was likely. There is nothing like being prepared.—l am, etc., December 8. Barometer.
