The following promotions and transfers are announced:— Sergeant Henderson (Tauranga), promoted to senior sergeant, succeeding the late Senior Sergeant Finch at Whangarei. Detective Sergeant Holmes (Dunedin). promoted to senior detective, and to remain in charge of the Dunedin detective branch. Sergeant Edwards (Wellington South), to take charge at Tauranga. Senior Sergeant Quale (Greymouth). transferred to Mount Cook station. Wellington. Detective Sergeant Bickerdike (Christchurch), promoted to senior sergeant in the uniform branch, succeeding Senior Sergeant Quale at Greymouth.

Sergeant *J. Paine, in charge of the training school at 'Wellington, promoted to senior sergeant.
