TALKS NOT OFFICIAL

MR PIROW IN EUROPE STATEMENT BY MR MACDONALD (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Nov. 29. Replying to a question in the House of Commons on Mr Pirow's continental tour, Mr Malcolm MacDonald said, " I have no doubt that when Mr Pirow returns to this country he will give us information about these various conversations in Europe, but members are under a misapprehension. They seem to suppose that some negotiations are proceeding between Mr Pirow and Herr Hitler. As I said previously I am not aware of any such negotiations having iaken place." Mr MacDonald pointed out that Mr Pirow's talks were personal, not official on behalf of the Union Government.
