After getting two intoxicated friends away, Walter Hugh Naughton. aged 22, a motor mechanic, returned to his car, over which a police watch had been set, and he was arrested for intoxication in charge of a car. He was examined by a doctor, in consequence of which there was a long report for the perusal of the magistrate (Mr W. F. Stilwell). At the conclusion of the hearing Mr Stilwell said he thought it was a case where there should merely be a fine, and he imposed a fine. of £ls, with the cancellation of his licence for 12 months. . -
